Heret demonstrates the potential of the JETvarnish 3D Evo

Packaging - 1 million B1 sheets finished in 6 months by Heret on its MGI JETvarnish 3D Evo (75 x120 cm) - the Israeli luxury packaging specialist demonstrates the full potential of MGI's industrial digital finishing system

Established 83 years ago in Yavne, Heret Printing is one of the specialists in luxury packaging in Israel. The company, headed by Avi Noiman, specializes in the design and production of luxury boxes and packaging for the cosmetics, delicatessen, perfume and spirits industries. Its customers include brands such as Sabon, Soda Stream Ahava. Digital finishing: a key comparative advantage in packaging Four years ago, Heret Printing decided to differentiate itself by offering its customers the possibility of enriching their packaging with selective UV varnish and hot foil stamping, either flat or in relief, in fixed or variable data, by opting for an MGI JETvarnish 3D digital finishing press in B2 format (52×74).

This was a first in Israel and fully in line with the "One Stop Shop" concept developed by Heret Printing: to control internally the entire chain of design and production of luxury packaging. A first that quickly allowed Heret to develop its sales, as Avi Noiman indicates: "MGI's JETvarnish 3D clearly gave us a major comparative advantage on the market by giving us the possibility to offer our customers sensorial packaging, thanks to selective UV varnishes and real hot foil stamping, flat or embossed, for short and medium runs as well as for large packaging versioning campaigns.

The B1 format is essential to meet the need created

Due to the success of the project, Heret decided 6 months ago to upgrade to a JETvarnish 3D Evo B1 (75×120). An investment made necessary because of the market demand. "The intuition we had when we acquired our JETvarnish 3D B2 quickly paid off, as brands were very keen on the tactile and sensory effect given to their packaging thanks to this technology" explains Avi Noiman. "It seemed essential to us to move up a gear with the JETvarnish 3D Evo B1, which offers a palette feeder and a 75×120 format well adapted to our printing fleet. This acquisition was all the more logical as 4 years of experience with MGI confirmed the reliability of the technology, its productivity and its very high quality, both in the regularity of the varnishes - compared to silk-screening for example - and in the fineness of the hot foil, which is truly incredible.

1 million B1 sheets printed in just 6 months! Received 6 months ago, the JETvarnish 3D Evo immediately went into production, allowing Heret Printing to respond to the growth of its print runs. "The 3D Evo allowed us to move up a gear in packaging finishing in just a few weeks," says the manufacturer. "The B1 format allows us to gain in imposition and the pallet feeder allows us to load more sheets, which reduces load breaks. With 1 million sheets coated in 6 months, we have beaten our previous production records and we don't intend to stop there in the coming months," he concludes with a smile!
