Go beyond printing with Factory 5.0 solutions of MGI Digital Technology
We look forward to welcoming you to our stand!
Drupa, which runs from May 28 to June 7 in Düsseldorf, is an opportunity for our Group to showcase the added value provided by our Factory 5.0 solutions for single-pass digital printing and finishing, aimed at professionals in the packaging, publishing, web-to-print, commercial printing and self-adhesive label industries.
On a 3,000m2 stand in Hall 8B (8B - A40-1), the MGI-Konica Minolta Alliance has recreated for you real production workshops organized by business sector, presenting the widest range of products on the market. in digital printing and finishing, from SRA3 to B1, via B2, as well as on the reel-to-reel.
These different workshops will print and finish in real time, real productions (packaging, printed matter for publishing and web to print, adhesive labels...), at the end of automated flows, associating different equipment, end to end. Let us show you by example the full potential of our equipment,
We will be exhibiting 5 pieces of MGI Digital Technology equipment at Düsseldorf: AlphaJET, JETvarnish 3D EVO, JETvarnish 3D Web 400, Octopus Web and AccurioShine 3600 powerded by MGI, all connected and benefiting from predictive maintenance.
The highlight of the MGI-Konica Minolta Alliance stand, the AlphaJet is one of the largest pieces of digital equipment on display at Drupa 2024, requiring almost 11 semi-trailers to transport! The AlphaJet is a 5.0, 100% digital printing plant, which performs almost 4 operations in a single pass, on B1 and B2 sheets: four-color 1200 dpi aqueous inkjet printing, OPV protective varnish application replacing plastic lamination, UV selective varnish application and hot foil stamping, either flat or embossed.
At DRUPA 2024, we'll be showcasing the vast range of substrates already certified on the AlphaJET, with papermaking partners such as Fedrigoini, RDM, Westrock, Mandeure, Torraspapel, Eska....
The JETvarnish 3D EVO is THE market's benchmark B1 and B2 sheet-fed digital finishing press. It can apply UV selective varnish and hot foil stamping, flat or in relief, in fixed or variable data, on all types of paper, open or closed, with or without lamination. At Drupa, the JETvarnish 3D EVO will be connected to a Konica Minolta automatic workflow, and will ennoble B2 prints coming off the KM1 digital inkjet press.
Alongside these B2 sheets, JETvarnish will ennoble offset-printed B1s, demonstrating its versatility of use in commercial printing, packaging, publishing and web-to-print markets.
Single-pass UV selective varnish and 100% digital hot foil stamping
At Drupa 2024, MGI will unveil its second-generation reel-to-reel digital finishing press, the JETvarnish 3D Web 400! This new generation can now apply UV selective varnish and hot foil stamping, flat or embossed, in fixed or variable data, in a single pass, using technology derived from the AlphaJET! Equipped with a flexo unit, semi-rotary die-cutter and double rewinder, the JETvarnish 3D Web 400 offers total versatility of use, for short, medium and long runs, on all types of substrate!
In Düsseldorf, the JETvarnish 3D Web 400 will ennoble reels previously printed on Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 400 and 230 presses, on natural or synthetic papers from UPM, as well as on UPM Forest eco-sourced PP.
The Octopus WEB presented at the show is a real innovation in the field of digital reel-to-reel cutting. The cutting operation is carried out not by laser, but by 4-axis heads equipped with professional cutting blades! This technological choice reconciles the best of the traditional and the digital, and is compatible with synthetic substrates (PVC, PP) and cotton paper (without laser burn marks), for reduced power consumption. Thanks to the Octopus, PDF to Cut becomes a reality, on all types of substrates, coated, uncoated and synthetic papers, at the highest level of quality.
Unique of its kind, the Octopus transforms the die-cutting operation into a new element of label ennoblement, thanks to versioning die-cutting, facilitating pack differentiation on the shelf. The Octopus will cut reels printed on AccurioLabel 400 and ennobled on MGI JETvarnish 3D Web 400.
Connected MGI equipment for immediate entry into Industry 5.0
Connected to a secure cloud via MGI Connect, MGI equipment is an opportunity for printers to enter fully into Industry 5.0: online submission of BàT in 3D and augmented reality with customers, remote production monitoring, order archiving, real-time machine fleet monitoring, predictive maintenance, via MGI Approve and MGI Dashboard solutions. These solutions help to reduce costs while enhancing service quality, for greater industrial resilience.
Finally, the MGI Jetforce social network will be highlighted, enabling manufacturers equipped with MGI solutions to develop their networks and technical knowledge on a daily basis, through forums, testimonials, reports and thematic meetings, to benefit from the community's know-how.
Digital technology for greater respect for the environment
At Drupa, the MGI Digital Technology group will be highlighting the eco-responsibility of its various technologies, with solutions using solvent-free varnishes, and without recourse to single-use consumables (plates, screens, clichés).
Eliminating waste and generating 30% in energy savings compared with conventional equipment, MGI solutions feature certified de-inkable varnishes and hot foil stamping on certain substrates, using the Ingede 11 process.
MGI's solutions allow you to differentiate yourself from the competition. Over the years, web-to-print has become one of the most important tools to connect printers and clients.
MGI Digital Technology is evaluated by Gaïa Research (EthiFinance Group), the ESG performance rating agency for small and medium-sized companies listed on European markets. Gaïa Research evaluates the companies it covers according to a reference framework of approximately 140 criteria divided into 4 pillars: Environment, Social, Governance and External Stakeholders (ESG-PPE).
